Q-Notes. In each class you will receive a copy of the Q-Notes covering the session(s) for the day. The Q-Notes are PowerPoint presentations designed for a live instruction class. They include summaries of substantially all of the Learning Outcome Statements, formulas, and practice problems. They are intended to facilitate your comprehension of the topics being discussed in each class. However, we have found that most of our students annotate the Q-Notes and use them as their primary reviewing tool. The Q-Notes are a complementary tool that may be used in conjunction with the CFA Program Curriculum and/or the Schweser Study Notes. Typically the more voluminous Curriculum or Schweser Study Notes are used for initial reading and problems, while the Q-Notes provide a more efficient tool for review. A single session of Q-Notes may be reviewed in as little as 15 minutes. Bear in mind that repetition leads to master. Depress the link for an excerpt from the Q-Notes.
CFA Links. We have developed a series of hyperlinks to useful information throughout the Web. These links are intended to supplement your understanding of some of the key topics that are reflected in the CFA Curriculum. We have found that by reviewing the same
concept from more than one perspective, it often becomes clearer, and candidates
may gain more of the intuition necessary to understand, rather than memorize,
the concepts.
